Holland Hydraulics B.V. has provided a customer in the woodchipping industry with a hydraulic system for an automatic knife grinding installation, which is used to automatically grind and adjust the knives in wooden drum chippers. This installation is PLC controlled and will identify every knife duet of coding.

The hydraulic system is used in order to automate the complete grinding process. For this reason, this hydraulic system will consist of 3 manifold assemblies with 26 sections in total. All manifold assemblies are built with Parker valves. To achieve the required specifications an 18,5kW e-motor, combined with an axial piston pump of 40L/Min and 2 gear pumps with both 20 L/Min, were integrated.

Holland Hydraulics provided the customer with consultancy, engineering, production, installation, and commissioning at the customer’s location.
