Hydraulic manifolds for the control of a Jacket Pile Gripper

Holland Hydraulics B.V. has produced and delivered hydraulic manifolds for the control of a Jacket Pile Gripper (JPG).

JPG’s are used in the Offshore Wind and Offshore Oil & Gas industry and have an extensive track record in these industries. JPGs are used for levelling jacket foundations in the correct position. In addition, the JPGs create a grouted connection to keep the jacket foundations secure and stable. The JPG ensures that the jacket is secured, that the levelled position is retained and that stability is provided during grouting operations. This results in improved grout connection quality and a reduction in costs.

Levelling is an essential part of the installation process and it is very important that the JPG’s can be precisely controlled during the levelling process. Holland Hydraulics has produced manifolds for the control of the JPG’s in order to achieve accurate control. The manifolds contain check valves that must be able to maintain a pressure of 380 bar over a period of 5 days. Using a specific procedure described in advance, the >2000 manifolds have been extensively tested on a test set-up specially developed by Holland Hydraulics. After a successful FAT test, the manifolds were delivered to the customer.
