Holland Hydraulics B.V. has supplied a hydraulic system used the tidal energy industry in the Netherlands (the Afsluitdijk). Our system was built to control the cylinders to lower and hoist the energy turbines. The turbine array has a capacity of more than 300kW, producing electricity for about 100 local households.

A 7,5kW power pack with a flow of 23 L/Min was used in this system to achieve the requirements. The complete system was built in a 5ft. container. The power pack controls two hydraulic cylinders which lower and hoist the turbine array. Both cylinder rods were coated with lunac to provide excellent resistance against the aggresive surroundings.

Holland Hydraulics B.V. provided the customer with consultancy, engineering, and production of these hydraulic systems. Our certified service engineers have installed and commissioned the system on site.
