Holland Hydraulics B.V. has supplied ATEX hydraulic systems that are used in the marine hose towers technology to load and unload (flammable) liquids and gasses.

Hose towers are used for loading and unloading (flammable) liquids and gasses in a wide range of viscosities and temperatures, from a storage tank (or vehicle) to (oil) tankers.

A hose tower is a steel construction that consists of hoses, hydraulic driven cranes, hydraulic driven winches, sliding beams and hose buns. The hoses will be hoisted on the board of the vessel by the hydraulic crane. The winches and sliding beams will support these hoses during operation.

Cause of the explosive environ wherein these installations are installed, all hydraulic systems and components need to be ATEX certified. The ATEX certified hydraulic systems consist of a power pack, manifolds, and hydraulic motor assembly’s. The power packs, manifolds and hydraulic motor assembly’s are built for ATEX zone 1 and 2 areas. The capacity and amount of the hydraulic systems depend on the capacity of the Hose Tower.

Holland Hydraulics provided the customer with consultancy, engineering, production, installation, commissioning and full training of the complete system at customer’s site.
