Holland Hydraulics B.V. carried out the hydraulic overhaul during the renovation of the high-pressure pumping station (HDPS) in Brakel. The installation was converted from four high-pressure pumps to only two modern water pumps and the capacity has been increased to 12,500 m3/h.

The hydraulic installation is used to hydraulically operate various DN 1400 valves. The hydraulic installation includes 2 hydraulic units, accumulators, control columns, electrical control, and installation work.

Both aggregates are designed to be redundant in order to increase reliability. The directional valves for operating the hydraulic cylinders are mounted on control columns and are placed directly at the valves. New hydraulic cylinders are used to operate the valves. Four hydraulic accumulators (50L capacity) provide hydraulic emergency control in the event of a power failure.

Holland Hydraulics provided the customer with advice, engineering, production, installation, commissioning and complete training of the complete system at the customer’s location.
